A welcomed note from a wonderful client!
by admin on Apr.03, 2011, under Big Commerce Testimonials
I can’t thank you and your staff at Be A Part Of enough for all the work done to help us out of a really bad spot. As you know, we were left in the lurch, so to speak, by another web developer. They had been given the contract to redesign our old FRC web site at the beginning of December 2010. They had promised to finish the site by mid January 2011. Two weeks past their deadline, at the end of January they called to tell me they were burned out, lost track of their schedule, and had no creative ideas for our new site. They made many promises, then just dropped the contract and reluctantly refunded our money.
I spent 3 days calling web developers and everyone was busy. Nobody could take us on and meet a deadline of 3 weeks to redesign a site using Big Commerce for the first time. You were great from the beginning Greg. You were busy and you agreed to take us on, with our 3 week deadline and a contract clause that stipulated I wouldn’t pay you if you missed the deadline (sorry about that – it was stress…lol). I know it’s not easy to take on a client claiming *issues* with a prior web developer. I know I was anxious and wanted many things stipulated in our contract, after what I had already experienced. You were patient and accommodating. I appreciated that a great deal. You and Doug (Roberts) communicated progress in a very consistent and professional manner. You both addressed all issues requiring adjustments efficiently and were able to finish the web site prior to the contract deadline – Bravo!
I am very grateful. The site looks fantastic and I know my clients will be pleased with their shopping experience on the new FRC web site. I would not hesitate to recommend your services to other people and I look forward to working with Be A Part Of again in the near future.
Sincerely,
Tammy Rosenblatt

BigCommerce SocialShop on Facebook

Online storefronts for retail goods are popping up all over Facebook, with the social network fast becoming a virtual shopping mall. Today, BigCommerce, a company that provides ecommerce software to online retailers and merchants, is adding the ability to create a storefront on Facebook pages.
Called SocialShop, the application allows merchants to display products on a Facebook Page. Merchants just have to add the application to their page, enter their store URL and then choose which products they want to display on the page. The retail platform will show up in a “Shop Now” tab on the page, and allows visitors to share products with their friends Facebook users can then click on a product to learn more but in order to buy the product they will be taken away from Facebook to the merchants store (which is also powered by BigCommerce).
The one drawback to BigCommerce’s application is that the actual transaction needs to take place on the merchant’s BigCommerce website instead of within Facebook. But Mitchell Harper, CEO of BigCommerce, says that this can also draw more traffic to the merchant’s main storefront.
BigCommerce helps small businesses power anything and everything related to an online storefront from search to inventory to online payments to marketing and SEO. And the price for the software is affordable for small businesses, with basic plans starting at $25 per month. The company is currently powering online storefronts for 4000 businesses and faces competition from Yahoo Stores and eBay’s ProStores.

With a rapidly growing company out performing Yahoo Cart, ZenCart and many others, comes new versions of a successful product, BigCommerce!
Mitchell Harper, co-CEO of BigCommerce doesn’t like to spend too much money on product launches for a very good reason: His company has a major product debut every three months or so.
BigCommerce makes e-commerce tools, such as shopping carts, that help businesses process online sales. It’s a fast-moving, competitive space where successful introductions rely on casting a wide net for prospects, including BigCommerce’s previous customers as well as new prospects.

BigCommerce is Interspire
by Admin on Jul.02, 2010, under BigCommerece E-commerce Shopping cart design and development., E-Commerce Design and Devepment, Interspire e-commerce, bigcommerce
I was asked a question about our relationship with BigCommerce from our new customer – thanks to BigCommerce – where after reading our last posts he mentioned he was unsure if we were able to handle his request as our relationship with BigCommerce is very new, or it appears to be. I answered, “yes, the relationship with BigCommerce is new, but we have been building Interspire shopping carts for almost 3 years now, which is the exact same company and we were approached by BigCommerce to join their BigCommerce Design Network as we were already a partner for their Interspire shoppingcart. Without hesitation, we said yes. We know it and we love it and do not offer any other solutions for e-commerce. Sure we can custom code anything you would like. But Interspire/BigCommerce has done it all, so why reinvent the wheel?
Through the inquires we have received we have found that little know where BigCommerce came from. So, I felt it would be a good idea to introduce you to the Interspire Shoppingcart, which is the platform BigCommerce is built on. In short, they are the exact same company. Except, BigCommerce is a SaaS (software as a service) and Interspire is best utilized for custom development and programming for elements of your web site which BigCommerce does not allow and you’ll own the license to Interspire. Things like POS software integration, warehouse inventory integration, custom product fields per product, other API’s and so on… are some of the tasks which are limited with BigCommerce. However, if you enjoy the BigCommerce platform Interspire is the exact same, just with customizable freedom.
Who is Interspire
Interspire is a privately owned company which develops content management, shopping cart, knowledge management and email marketing software used by more than 40,000 organizations worldwide including fortune 500 companies (Intel, Shell, GE), enterprise organizations (Virgin, Ubisoft, Monster.com) and also thousands of small/medium businesses and digital agencies. Your E-Commerce Business Success is Only as Good as Your Communication Skills
by admin on Jun.24, 2010, under BigCommerece E-commerce Shopping cart design and development., E-Commerce Design and Devepment
Okay, I couldn’t help my self. Posted the last blog, went to BigCommerce.com and found some new e-commerce tid bits I had to share which you’ll need to be successful. Really we could do our video’s and write articles, but really, these guys have done it all and we agree with what they’re saying. Therefore, check this out!
In this video BigCommerce guru Mitchell Harper describes the way you communicate with employees, customers, partners, suppliers and investors is a direct reflection of the business your business is (or is not) having.
Typically those businesses who are lead by excellent communicators out do their competitors and enjoy more customers, more brand awareness and more success because everyone understands what their goals are and the company as a whole (including its customers) is dedicated to one single goal that everyone is determined to (and rewarded to) accomplish

With that comes research, new facebook sign up, twittering and “Be”ing A Part Of what we are preaching. One of our newly found relationships is BigCommerce a product of Interspire , the platform in which BigCommerce is been built on.
We decided over 3 years ago that Interpire was certainly the best e-commerce platform out there which will handle any size shopping cart, facilitate any design and custom programming and allow your business to grow with ease on line. Furthermore, through our research and client experiences we have been able to achieve many tasks through the Intersire platform which other developers have either said they could do it at a outlandish price or just simply say it is not a achievable. Not to toot our horn, but we’ve yet to be stumped. Okay, toooot toooot!
So…with all of what we have discovered and all which we have achieved we feel it’s necessary to start writing and sharing about some of the partners and networks we have developed and share the industry trends with you about their successes. After all, an educated decision is a decision well made.
To get started we pulled a link from the BigCommerce Facebook page and really found it useful. Please let us know if you are looking for anything else to help your e-commerce business grow and we’ll certainly get it up here A.S.A.P.

Social Commerce: Shopping Carts Extend Reach Into Facebook, Other Social Sites
With the growth of social commerce, especially on Facebook with its 500 million members, a number of shopping cart providers are creating apps for their customers’ Facebook Fan pages. Here is an initial list of three such apps.
SocialShop is BigCommerce’s new Facebook application. SocialShop is not a stand-alone shopping cart that allows consumers to complete their purchases without leaving Facebook. It links back to the respective merchant’s ecommerce site. read more >>>
